Trouble with connecting PSR530 to PC via MIDI interface.

by Peter
(Sweden)

I use a MIDI-USB interface (Prodipe is the name of the maufacturer) to connect my PSR 530 to a PC. But the studio software (like Fruity Loop) does not find the keyboard and no MIDI data seem to be transferred. Windows itself recognizes the USB-device as a sound device and tells that it is working properly. How do I get the music software to comminicate with the keyboard?

Midi PSR530 - PC
by: Bazza

Could be one of a couple of things. Problem could be with your midi driver. If the interface came with driver software make sure you instaled it correctly probably a good idea to uninstall and reinstall.

Also could be that the problem is in your Windows system. If you know someone who has a PC with the same version of Windows that you use install your software on their PC and connect your keyboard. If it works on their PC then you know the problem is with your system.

If the problem you have is with Windows then about all you can do is reinstall your operating system.

Good Luck!!
