by Crystal
(MD)

Do any of the small keyboards like the psr series have a transpose feature so I can lower music?

Transpose Feature = PSR Series.
by: Alfred

Dear Crystal: I have a somewhat basic PSR E 403 which includes the Transpose (Pitch modifiction) feature to match other INSTRUMENTS and VOCALISTS, and I know there are other keyboards of this series which do the same. I suggest you do some research to ensure you select a unit which satisfies your needs. Good luck.

Tuning
by: Dick Rector

Hello Crystal,

Alfred is right with his answer (he always is!) But as an addition, almost ALL keyboards and for sure the PSR-series can be adjusted to play with other instruments or human voices.
It is called TRANSPOSE the OVERALL PITCH.
For instance: if you are happy playing in the C-key but a singer needs it in F-key you can easily TRANSPOSE the keyboard to F-key and still play in the C-key. Also you can FINE-TUNE most keyboards in steps of 1/100 of a semitone to match instruments with a fixed PITCH like if you want to play together with a piano. This is called SCALE-TUNE.
Hope this helps you.

Regards
Dick

PSR Series
by: Alfred

Dear Crystal: Dick's too kind. He's the Master (Degreed in Sound Engineering), I'm the Pupil. Anyhow we hopefully have given you the answer, and we don't want this Forum to become a "mutual admiration" platform. What we both want is clear, concise info from Forum participants regarding model of their units and relevant descriptions of the problems. Above all we always prefer participants to ID themselves as you have. Anonymous submittals only tend to discourage us from responding. Keep well.
