Tansfer Songs and Styles from another keyboard

by Dinov Davis
(Oman (Miidile East))

Hello dear friends. I got a Yamaha PSR 620 recently. Presently I am owning a Yamaha S550B. My question is can I download all the preset styles and songs of 620 to my S550B?. If it is possible, which software I need to use for this. Please don't take this as a childish question, I need serious response from all you. Thanks in advance

transfer files from older keyboard
by: Dick Rector

Hello Dinov,

A bit complicated to my taste!
The PSR 620 was released in 1995 and if it has a still working floppydrive (I don't know if it has one at all!)you should be able to copy your files onto a floppy. Than copy into your computer (if that has a floppydrive as well) copy onto a USB-flashdrive and than copy into the user area of the PSR S550. You don't need special software to do this. It is only copying.
If the 620 does not have a drive, I can't see how you can do it.
Headphone out will produce the sound but NOT as a usable file-format so that doesn't help.
I only wonder why you want to do this, the much advanced electronics of producing sound in your much newer PSR S550 stands skyhigh above the limited possibilities of this, with respect but 'aged' keyboard.
Maybe one of the other readers has a better idea.

Regards
Dick

First of all let me thank you for you support. Basically I am a serious collector of Songs and Styles. Here I have a lot of old keyboards in our church.
