Sustaining Pedal works and sometimes it doesn't.

I have a clavinova CVP 305 that I use with my middle school chorus. I was having class and all of the sudden the sustaining pedal stopped working. I have followed the troubleshooting guide, and it will start working again, but then it will stop working later on, or when I turn it off. Please advise as we have a concert soon.
