Rewiring a sustain pedal

I have a clavi with a four pin pedal cable that plugs into the base of the instrument. I want to use a separate sustain pedal with a 1/4" jack on the end but there is no socket for this. Can I rewire it? If so how? I am planning to take the top part of the unit on tour without the base

When making contact, have Model and Serial number at hand. What you are considering is better answered by a qualified technician and will probably require either accessing the innards of your unit to changer the receiving socket/jack, or a modification of the Pedal circuitry and its plug.
