Power problems

My Yamaha psr 413 has a bad connection when I try using the ac adapter to power it. Is this something I can fix myself, or should I seek professional repair.

PSR413 Power Adaptor

I believe your keyboard may have been originally supplied with a PA 3C Power Adaptor. Yamaha has replaced it by the PA 130. Unless you are adept at repair work and have the tools to attempt any repair, I suggest you check Ebay’s prices for a new one, then check for cost of professional repair so you can make a smart decision.

PSR413 power connection problem

I have a psr413 and I also work in a school which uses this model. I had a problem with poor connection of the power supply unit of mine and when I opened the unit I found what can only be described as a botched soldering job on the input board. Since then I have had another 2 identical finds in the school instruments. I presume there may have been a problem during production and some units have been repaired, but not very well.
