Playing Piano by Ear
by: Alfred

Dear Allie: (1) If you can "hold a tune" (humming or whistling) you probably have a good ear for music. (2) If you instinctively - mentally - maintain good timing/rhythm, you are already half way there. (3) Buy a used WORKING keyboard, or beg, borrow or steal one on which you can "tinkle" with your right hand, and you will soon meld your prowess with the keys you strike. (4) Many keyboards such as Yamaha and others include a "Single Finger" or "Easy Chord" feature for chording (Left hand). Read the instructions in the Manual to access the feature. (5) Persevere in you efforts and you should soon be rewarded. Have fun!!
