One of the keys won't play unless I hit it hard

The C below middle C won't play if I hit it normally or softly. It only plays when I hit it very hard and it makes a really loud sound when I do. Why is this happening and how can I fix it(if I can)?

Hi Jared,

You did not mentioned the model keyboard and I'm guessing of course but the problem is typical for an broken or damaged underlay-contact-pad or dirt underneath the key's.
Unless you are skilled, you need a qualified person to replace/repair/clean it.
