New to digital pianos and to the Yamaha Clavinova CVp_10

Hello, I just purchased a used CVP-10 and I am trying to understand some things.
1. the person I bought it from said that it is possible to upgrade the sounds of the instrument using midi files...the connections are there I just have no idea how to do this and I would like to learn.
2. He indicated that this model uses something called ROM cards and I read that there are accompanying ROM notebooks. How do I use these and where can I purchase them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Lori: for starters, google CVP 10, there you will find usersmanualguide.com/yamaha_audio/.../cvp-10

I believe it will give you a free download of the Owner's Manual. The manual should provide helpful
