My Keyboard does not turn on.

I have a YPT-200 Yamaha Keyboard and it won't turn on although it is plugged in. It's fairly new so I'm not sure what's wrong with it. What are the possibilities? Could it be the AC DC Adaptor (Lo Duca 3780 Model)? Help!

Dear Terri: I believe your unit has a compartment for batteries.Check if it works with fresh batteries. If it does, the Adaptor may be defective (internally snapped wiring, or burned out). Try a new Adaptor (with same specs).If a new Adaptor does not work, it may be that the Jack (unit's entry point)is dirty or corroded (have it checked by a technician). Good luck.

Dear Terri,
Consider following comments:
- Try another Outlet in your home. If the keyboard works, you've solved your problem.
- Try another identical Lo Duca Adaptor to determine if your Adaptor is defective. If the keyboard then works, you'ved solved your problem.
- If the Jack (connecting point in keyboard)is defective,your keyboard will not work, and you should have a reliable technician check it.
- If your keyboard is still under warranty, return it for a replacement.
- Do not take any other steps than the above.

same problem

I have same problem. I bought at best buy and don't have the recipt and am screwed. It is 40 day old. Just stopped working. It will cost a fortune to send back to manfactor. I want to get the word out that yamama sucks. The equiptment was a total lemon and I paid over 150 bucks.

I am so upset. YPT200 does not turn on

Hi. Bought YPT-200 less than year ago. Great sound. Excellent. And than one day i was so tempted to play and its just didn't turn ON. Tryed change adaptor, plugs, batteries- nothing. Brought back to shop and asked to replaced. They tried- IT WORKS. Whoooow! Now I i brought it back home and believe me or not- its NOT WORKING!!!! Why??? Is it to do something with adaptor? Batteries dont work as well. I have tried everything but no responce at all. Why it worked in shop but not working home?? I have played it before and everything was perfect..

Please give me advice- what should i do ..???
