My computer is not communicating with my keyboard?

I hooked up my Yamaha YPT-400 keyboard to my Windows XP computer. I also have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum Pro Soundcard. I would like to use my keyboard in conjunction with Band In a Box software. I am getting a message that the Instrument is not communicating with the computer and I am also getting another message that the USB-MIDI device is not connected.
How do I go about solving this issue?

The same problem

I have the same problem with my YPT-400. I have installed the driver, so my computer does recognize the connection. But other softwares like Musicsoft Downloader keep saying "no connection."

Wow! Same here but with the PSR E-413

I just bought the Yamaha PSR E-413 and followed the Driver instructions to the T. When I plug in the keyboard to the laptop I will get the pop up that the keyboard is connected, but then I look for the flash drive in "MY Computer", and nothing shows up. I click on the remove device icon and it tells me its safe to remove the device. This was on my Dell E1505 running windows XP. So I tried my other laptop running Windows VISA, Loaded the driver and it says its ready to run the device. Again, plugged in the keyboard using the USB cable and it identified the keyboard, but did not show up in the "My Computer" area were all the drive are. All so installed and ran the music downloader program and it did not find the keyboard there ether!
Starting to wonder if I got a lemon.

Yup...Same problem. YPT-400

Vista and XP.

Downloaded the newest Musicsoft Downloader(5.5.0) also. Still no dice. I wish someone would administrate these boards...
