mono or stereo jack

i have a yamaha PSR-290 model. i want to buy a jack for the output. i i doubt now which one to buy. a mono or a stereo jack. does a stereo output jack work in this model as this one is a very old madel and is out of manufacture.eagerly waiting for the reply..........

Connecting a Keyboard Amplifier or Stereo System • • • • • • •
Though the PSR-290 is equipped with a built-in
speaker system, you can also play it through an
external amplifier/speaker system. First, make
sure the PSR-290 and any external devices are
turned off, then connect one end of a stereo audio
cable to the LINE IN or AUX IN jack(s) of the
other device and the other end to the rear panel
PHONES/OUTPUT jack on the PSR-290.

P.S. It is stereo.
