midi problems

I need to hook up my MC-50 sequencer (Roland) to my s30 yamaha keybord, but I haven't sequenced in about 16 years now, and for the life of me, just can't remember the settings to do this! Also, I might first have to do a factory default setting after all the struggling. Please HELP!!!!

Have you set the keyboard to send and recieve on your MIDI channels? You have to tell the KB to send and recieve for a specific channel. You also have to tell the sequencer to send and recieve. The MC50 has two Midi outs. I set it to use both outputs.Then designate the individual channels to my sound modules or keyboards.
