Midi files to Adobe Audition 3

by Sonsie
(Uk)

It seems that I can record midi files (six of in total) on my PSR 295. I want to transfer them to Adobe Audition 3 to combine them with audio recordings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

(I have a trial version of Sony Acid Pro 6, but it refuses to recognise the keyboard for input purposes, though it appears to be happy to list it for playing through. It claims the keyboard is in use with another application.)

If I can use AA3 for recording purposes I'd be quite happy. If it's not possible to do what I've mentioned above, is there a reasonably cheap programme I can use to record direct from the keyboard and then combine the results with audio recorded through a mike - vocals and guitar? Again, any advice would be gratefully received.

Recording midi

Much later - what date is it now? Reaper does the job fine and can be used for free until you're ready to pay for it. Just google "Reaper audio software" and it should show up. It's very good on all fronts. Needs careful setting up through "preferences" to handle midi but with a little perseverance it will do the job for you.
