midi connection

I have my PSR E413 CONNECTED TO MY MAC AND IT IS NOT REGISTERING THAT IT IS CONNECTED. HOW DO I GET THE COMPUTER TO RECOGNIZE THAT THE KEYBOARD IS PRESENT

As of to date, There is no software or driver for the PSR E-413 yamaha keyboard. Sorry...

Hello i recently purchased yamaha PSR 550 and also bought an EMU xmidi1x1 cable to use with it, im using it as a controller to reason and FL, but i always get this strange sound. what puzzles me is that when ever i connect the cable to other keyboards they work fine put not with my lovely PSR.please assist what could be the problem.is it the settings?
