Middle C kills other keys

I have a DGX-500 and when I hold middle C down, no other C will play and they don't indicate on the screen. They play fine otherwise and show on the display.

I have tried clearing the memory by holding the last key while turning the unit on.

Dear Mike: A full Initialization (Reset) MAY work. Press the last White key AND the last three Black keys WHILE TURNING ON THE POWER.

If the defect is not removed, for technician close to you, contact

keys not working

Hi,
If I may add my two penny's for the day:
To me it sounds very much like a broken rubber underlay contact-pad under the middle C octave.
Making a sort of 'shortcut' when using that key. That cuts out all other C's as (in popular saying) all the keys of the same kind are using only ONE route to the sound-processor.
Every octave (C to B) has his own underlay-pad.
It is not very difficult to repair but if you are not a skilled DIY person you have to find a trained repair-person (preferably a Yamaha-trained one) to change it.
