keyboard polyphony

The polyphony you minimal require is difficult to establish in terms of professional or not. Most of the keyboard instruments today start from a polyphony of 32. When you only play songs for kids this low number of polyphony is sufficient. If you play classical peaces you would at least go for a minimum of 64. A polyphony of 128 or higher are also useful when more instruments sounds are triggered simultaneously as in playing a band.
