Jumbled Yamaha PSR 3000 Screen

My Yamaha PSR3000 LCD screen is displaying jumbled letters/numbers. The location varies, which would lead me to believe it is either a software or ROM problem. I have tried the reset (Power on with C6 held down). However, that did no good. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I simply need to reload software? Or, should I head to the service agent?

I have exactly the same problem and have tried all the same remedies as you to no avail. If you are able to resolve this annoying problem could you please let me know. I have had my psr for over three years and suddenly this glitch occurs. Thanking you in anticipation.

I took mine to an authorized dealer for repairs. The cost was nearly as much as the original cost of the keyboard. So, I just use it for studio work and plug it into a small monitor with an RCA video jack.
