impossible to send midi from my computer to my P200 yamaha

I can play on my yamaha p200 and hear the sounds on my computer speakers but I can't do the inverse thing : send a midi file from my computer to be played by my yamaha p200. all my receiving midi filter are off on the p200. is there anything else to configure on the p200. On the computer side I use linux and rosegarden (the linux equivalent to cubase). Thank you, Regis.
