Splitpoint
by: Dick Rector

Hello Mike,

Look in your manual for 'set splitpoint'.
Usually you find that under a function-button.

Regards
Dick

Motif * Split
by: Alfred

Dear Mike: If your unit is like some PSR's, and has an Automatic Accompaniment Control, that control should set a "standard" Split Point - usually at an "F#" key. Then if you do as Dick Rector suggests, and access a SPLIT "Category" through the FUNCTION Control, you will be able to scroll to other different split points on the keyboard.
Hopefully, between Dick's and my suggestions you will succeed in selectng whatever split suits your pleasure. Please post a follow-up message in this Forum so other Motif owners can benefit from your experience. Thank you, and good luck.

Motif Split
by: Alfred

Dear Mike: In reviewing your question, I realize thAt in my haste to help you,I gave you a suggestion re Split Points available, and not one specific to separate and different VOICES.
Again, on the assumption your unit is like some PSR's, use the SPLIT control, which probably will give an "ideal" combo of two VOICES. If, however, you wish to select a combo with voices different from the two "ideal" ones, press the Split Button holding it down for a "delayed release", then select the VOICES you want, one for the Left hand, and the other for the right.
Contact us through the Forum if we can be of further assistance. Your post will help other
