how to record on Yamaha psr-290 piano

I recently received the Yamaha psr-290 piano from a friend and neither she or I know how to record songs on it. There is a record button there but nothing happens when I press it. I asked for the instructions manual but my friend that I got it from doesn't have one. Any help? Thanks.

Fill in the correct box your model keyboard and you can download a manual in PDF format.
Easier to have one yourself than explain the procedure of recording here. Although it is not complicated at all.
