How to install a sustain pedal

I recently got a MO8 and purchased a sustain pedal (FC3). I tried to plug it in and everything but it didn't change anything and it still didn't work. Do I need a different model of pedal or what do I need to do to install it?

Dear Austin: Was the FC 3 the pedal recommdended by the Seller? What does the Owner's Manual say?
Some PEDALS have a Polarity Switch on their housings to flip to correct polarity. Some KEYBOARDS have a button or control to do it. The general recommended practice is to plug the Pedal into the keyboard BEFORE power\ing up. Hope these
