how to get clear genuine piano sound on Yamaha m08

by Bettina
(Australia)

our church has no experienced keyboard player now as they have moved away. We have a lady who has stepped up to play but she is not used to a keyboard only the usual piano, we just can't get that gorgeous genuine piano sound. Can anyone give me the sequence to get it.

Piano Voices for Mo 8
by: Alfred

Dear Bettina: This Forum is indebted to the anonymous contributor who has apparently provided the procedure you need to set the Mo8 on the right track. His contribution is a fantastic example of how this system can work, and we cxompliment him. Should your new keyboard player need further help, I'm confident he, or some other member will come to the rescue. Keep well.

Piano sound on Yamaha Mo8
by: Anonymous

Press the tab on the Keyboard that says voice.
next press the tab that says Category this will take the screen to the page allowing specific types of instruments. Now press Piano and the screen will give you a list of pianos to choose from use the Jog wheel and/or arrow keys to select the instrument of choice.
****VERY IMPORTANT READ BELOW****
THE MO8 IS AN EXTREMELY NICE KEYBOARD BUT IT WILL ONLY SOUND AS GOOD AS THE PA SYSTEM IT IS PLAYED THROUGH AND THEN THE EQ IT IS SET TO. THOSE TWO THINGS WILL PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN THE QUALITY OF THE SOUND YOU CAN PROJECT.
I did not want to take for granted you guys knowing that. I believe God is an excellent and awesome God and we should submit nothing to him that is not excellent by at least human standards. I personally own a Motif 8 Classic and I prefer the Power Grand, Dark Grand or the Natural Grand for most of my piano applications.
BE BLESSED & BE A BLESSING!
