How do you use DSP for effects on the Yamaha PSR-225 GM ?

Yamaha PSR-225 GM

Have just bought this keyboard (Yamaha PSR-225 GM) for my daughter and until we can afford the sustain pedal, I am trying to program nice echo, sustain, delay effects for her.

I have the manual, but it isn't easy to understand. Is there a simple explanation out there somewhere to help out with this ?

I would really appreciate any help..I learned all of this stuff at recording school back in the stone age, but haven't used the knowledge so I don't remember mucht - maybe some simple instructions would enable me to understand..?
