How do you repair a broken key?

by Doug
(NJ)

I have a DGX-500. A chair with arms bumped into the keys and pushed one of the keys up. It's still attached and the key is not broken, but partially dislodged. I can't force it down and I'm concerned about taking too many screws out and causing a bigger problem. Has anyone encountered something like this before and been able to fix it without returning for service?

this, pull forward on the key and try and push it back into place. If it won't go you'll have to take it apart. If the key is broken I am pretty sure you can buy a new one from yamaha. I got a quote on a 20 year old clavinova for about $9.00 for one key.
