How Do I set the Midi Recieve Channel on the MM6

by Rich

I'm using an older Roland RD300 piano which has a great feel to control the MM6 but I can't find a way to set a receive channel on the MM6. The manual shows nothing on setting up the Yamaha to be a slave. What's Up?

I own this poeice of crap. Gret sounds but no abiltiy to truly control them externally. Turn to page 108 in your manual and tou will see that this keyboard does have a mulktitibtral 1-16 set of channels. You will also notice where it says channel changed that there is a nice little "x". At the bottom of the page, "x" = a big fat "No" my friend, so technically this hunk of plastic cannot be used as a true slave. I hate it! They might as well call it a CASIO.
