how do i record on Yamaha mm6

Hi, i just bought a mm6, but there's alot of problems, maybe it's just me who dont know the keyboard but i'm not sure if it is it that's broken.

for exampel, when i hit the recordbutton nothings happends, i've tryed on diffrent settings, holding it it for a while but no response.

is it broken or am i just doing wrong?

Dear Thomas: I am not familiar with the MM 6. If you bought it with its Owner's Manualyou might have to do a bit of experimenting to find out how to record. Yamaha's manuals are known for their confused instructions. You might also want to contact

Dear Thomas: following my earlier message, whatever you do, do not play around with the unit until its warranty period is due. There is a limit as to what you should be required to do, and you should return the unit to the Seller if you feel you've done your utmost to get things right. Good luck.

Hi Thomas,

I am also not familiar with the MM6 but on my keyboard (PSR2000) I have to press RECORD (hold down) + XtraTracks - track 1 - track 2 etc.
Red leds are on now but nothing happens untill I start playing. Than the recording also starts.
When finished I have to press REC again to stop the recording (and save the file).
I hope this is more or less the same with your keyboard and guides you in the direction.
