How do I hook up the Yamaha PSR-510 to a computer?

Hi Paula,

As all the sounds in a keyboard are basically MIDI-files and NOT audible as such, to my opinion the easiest way is to record the effects or sounds you like via a free program 'AUDACITY' and safe them as a WAV or MP3 file on your hard drive. From there you can use them for your editing.
You will need this program and a cable with on both ends a jack-plug (stereo).
Normally one large one for the HEADPHONES OUT on the keyboard and a small one for LINE IN on the soundcard of your computer.
