Faults When Switching Voices

by GLYN BAILEY
(LOUISIANA, USA)

Hello,

I have just purchased a new 470 Clavinova. When I change voices, some strange things usually happen, namely; the volume of the new voice either increases or decreases and the transition is not smooth - i.e. there is sometimes a sound or a silence and often the new sound activates immediately. On my Technics keyboard, when a new voice is selected, the transition is seamless.

This fault is very noticable when both recording or playing live.

I am very upset about this. Can you help?

Thanks,

Glyn Bailey

Defective 470 Clavinova
by: Alfred

Dear Glynn: IF YOUR WARRANTY IS EFFECTIVE submit a claim, or better still, return the Unit to the store where you purchased it. Test and accept any other new Unit they may offer in exchange.
The problems you mention might be corrected by INITIALIZING, but if not, don't waste time. Return the unit.
