connecting motif es 8 to Band in the BOx

I've spent 6 hours with PG music trying this out. No dice!

I attempted utilizing a TASCAM 144 mkll as the interface between my Motif ES 8 and the program Band in the Box. II After two hours, I achieved an incomplete connection, ie., I succeeded in getting the TASCAM midi signal light to come on whenever i pressed the keys on the Motif, Similarily the animated 88 keyboard in the computer program, Band in the Box displayed the exact keyboard pattern I played in real time. However, none of the Band in the Box sounds (the drums, bass etc. played through the head phone plugged into the motif,nor through the computer headphone, etc Inother words,no sounds came from the program Band in the BOx.

I gave up on the Tascam 144, I then tried utilizing a USB cord from the Motif Es 8 to the computer but the Band in the Box program did not recognize any new input.


I then down loaded a Motif Es Usb driver, but in the Driver Dialogue Box within the Band in the Box program, there was no acknowledgement of a Yamaha USB driver.
