Computer doesn't recognize Yamaha motif es6

I have a yamaha motif es6. When I connect the yamaha to my computer via a USB to Host, (cable which came with my yamaha motif); my computer doesn't do anything, it doesn't even recognize that there's new hardware.

Please let me know what could be wrong.

Dear Lynne: What if anything does the Owner's Manual (if you have it) say about any Driver(s) which may be needed? Let us know via this Forum what your solution is. Thanks and good luck.
