Transposing Yamaha PSR 620

Dear Colin: I'm not familiar with the PSR 620. However, if it is similar to my unit (PSR E403),you can try the following:

Press the FUNTION feature (Button?).
Select TRANSPOSE and set the value between -100 and + 100 for small Pitch changes; and between
- 12 and + 12 for large Pitch changes.

Keys represented by the 0-12 and 0+12 settings are explained as follows:

When the transpose setting is at 0, playing middle C gives a middle C. So whatever key is used to play the music will be "true" and accurately tuned.

Going up one, for example (+1), and playing middle C will sound a C#.

Lowering the transpose setting one (-1) will sound a B if the middle C is played.

This permits hearing the music in any key, no matter what key is being played. This is especially helpful if singing in the original key is difficult for a soloist.(or Instrumental soloist).
As I said the above is for a PSR E403, but you may be able to apply it to your PSR 620. If not, hopefully some other owner of a PSR 620 will come to your rescue. Please let us know if you are successful. Good luck, and thanks for contacting us.
