Cannot see Yamaha YPT-320 display from above?

Hi there

I've just bought a YPT-320 and pretty sure I could see the display on the demo model when looking from above in the shop.

However with the new one out of the box, I have to be sitting in front of it to see the display and cannot see it from above: is this correct?

Dear Max: I believe the YPT 320 Display is "amber colored" with black text indicators. As such it is quite easy to read, but basically - at ;east with Yamaha displays - your line-of-sight has to BE THE BEST ONE WHICH SUITS YOU. Lighting, seating, and eye level obviously have a bearing on what is visible to you. I would not worry about the angle or distance from which you were viewing it in the shop. I don't believe there is anything wrong with the unit, and I hope this info allays any doubts you may have had.
