can virus on pc affect my yamaha keyboard.

i have a yamaha psr425i.
i want to connect it to my pc.. im using avast home edition anti virus. though my pc virus database is always updated still im afraid if anything wrong may happen to my keyboard if connected.. please help me.. is it safe to connect..

if there is virus can it affect keyboard?

Generally speaking a virus can not harm a keyboard.
Never heard of it anyway. Maybe in the high-end models as they have a more computer-like operating system.

thanks for the reply.. but still when it has storage memory, software, then y it cant be affected?
