Can not hear notes

I can't hear notes on my YPT-300 yamaha keyboard. It's not because of the local on-off thing. headphones aren't in the jack. I dont know whats wrong. its plugged in and the volumes high, HELP PLEASE! i can finally play a song,but cant hear the notes. i dont want to pay for another either

Dear Katie: Look again at the Jack where you plugged in the Headhone. Did you forget to take off the little Headphone Adaptor? If so, remove it and the unit will return to normal.

No sound from speakers

Hi Katie,

2 Questions if Alfred's advice is not solving the problem.

If you plug in headphones, do you hear normal sound?
Can you make a connection between keyboard line out to a line in on an amplifier (home-stereo) and do you hear sound?

If not the amplifiers in your keyboard are dead or there is somewhere a loose connection. (Keyboard has not been dropped I hope?)
Very unlikely but possible, you speakers are gone.
You need help of an qualified technician in this case and it is NOT a DIY job.

Let's hope it is just a silly thing as Alfred suggested. We all did it!!
