Can I upload a piano CD to a flash drive and play it on Yamaha CVP 505?

I just purchased a Yamaha CVP 505 model and would like to know if it is possible to upload my Suzuki Piano CD's to my computer hard drive and then save it to a memory stick to play through the Clavinova.

I saved midi files like this and it works beautifully but I would love to be able to have it slow down the piano pieces that are in .wav files on the CD.

Does anyone know if it will do this? It has not been delivered yet so I haven't had a chance to experiment with this.

.wav files on CVPs
by: Yamaha

On the Clavinova CVP itself, you cannot control the tempo of the .wav file. However, with other software, like Cubase Essentials, you can manipulate the timing/tempo of the songs (.wav files) and upload the new file into the CVP.

Slowing down a CD for Clavinova CVP 505
by: Anonymous

Thanks. I also found a great wav file program that is very user friendly. It is called the Amazing Slow Downer. You put in the CD and the tracks are displayed within a few seconds. Then you can use the slider bar to slow it down or speed it up and the pitch stays the same. You then simply save as a wav file. It is amazingly simple and the sound quality is very good. Perfect for playing along with a new piece slowly on the Clavinovas that can play wave files. I uploaded it to my flash drive, put it in the clavinova and it is ready to play at the tempo I selected. I even saved the same piece with four different tempos because it was so easy to do.

CVP 505
by: Alfred

Dear Cheryl:From your posts I can see you are an expert on your CVP 505. We are trying hard to encourage individuals like you to be active in this Forum, and any comments/questions will be gratefully accepted. There are obviously many Yamaha electronic pianos/keyboards which share similarities and your contributions will do much to help us grow. Dick Rector and I are unintentionally "hogging the pen" with our comments as members, and a growing number of participants is beginning to show up. Won't you please favor us with your help? Thanks, and keep well. We will be looking out for your posts.
