Can a Yamaha Dgx203 be repaired?

The keyboard turns on and the display dimly lights, but no sound comes out when pressing the keys? Can this be repaired? Where? Cost effective to repair?

Dear Michele: Before talking about repair of your unit, there are a few steps to follow. 1) IF the keyboard is being used with an ADAPTOR,the latter may be defective and may need to be changed for one with the same OUTPUT SPECS. 2) Check the HEADPHONE JACK (Aperture where you plug the phones in). It automatically cuts off the onboard Speakers, and sometimes it may be stuck in the cut-off position and will have to be bent back to its original position 3) Check if you inadvertantly left the Headphone adaptor in the Jack? 4)Do a Reset (Initilize) your keyboard by HOLDING DOWN THE LAST WHITE KEY WHILE TURNING THE KEYBOARD ON. If none of my suggestions work, then have a reputable technician (preferably authorized by Yamaha) examine and repair as necessary. ABOVE ALL, DO NOT OPEN THE KEYBOARD.
