Amplifying a Clavinova

I own a Clavinova CLP 320. I find the piano sound very good when using my headphones, but significantly coarser and really rather unpleasant when playing through the internal amplifier/speakers. I would like to add an external amplifier and speakers, but I am not sure a)whether this will bring about a useful improvement and b) what one might expect to pay for satisfactory equipment.

Any help would be much appreciated.
