what to buy
by: Dick Rector

Hello Sunil,

The PSR S550 is in my opinion a great keyboard for the money. The drawback however for most keyboards including this one is the internal memory. Why Yamaha (and other manufacturers) are so shy with it is for most keyboardist still a great puzzle.
The loading of external styles or songs in the user area's is therefore quite limited and in many cases a bit clumsy.
In general for the lower range keyboards:
Have also a good look what the USB-connections are. Some of them are only good to communicate via a cable with a computer(to host).

If you go to:
www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php
You can download the manuals of most Yamaha keyboards and compare them.
'You get what you pay for' as the saying goes.

Happy 'hunting'.
Dick
