hi My children are nearly 5 & just beginning keyboard lessons. Which is the best keyboard for them to start with? What are the features that I need to look for in a keyboard?
thanks
Lee

Keyboard as a fun-cool-toys

The difficulty teaching something to children is to get their passion and attention. You should search keyboard that can attract their attention (funky colour, blinking tuts, colour screen etc).

The keyboard should have internal speaker, so you don't need to set external sound system.

And another suggestion :
You should ask to the seller "How can I restore the factory setting of the keyboard ?" (if the keyboard is programmable.)

When I was a teenager, I had a Korg M1 keyboard (it is programmable) and one of my young brother's friend, accidentally, delete one of the sound ! (And I don't know how to get it back !)

As you know, a child, 5 years-old, usually explore all the possibilities of something (including keyboard). And they can delete the data or important setting of a pro-keyboard.

When you buy keyboard, don't forget to buy a good and firm keyboard stand. Usually, a cheap keyboard stand is unstable (and it is dangerous for children if the keyboard falls from the stand).

Have a nice keyboard learning !

Yahama PSRE225
by: Betty

Hi,

My name is Betty and I am a 76 year old relearning

piano playing great grandma. I have a PSRE225 that

my great grandchildren ages 9 to 3 love to play

every time they come over which, thank God, is

often.

Now I have upgraded to my PSRE413 that I am trying

to learn how to play. They are both great

keyboards. Hope this helps a little. Betty, Grateful Great Grandmother
